UNIBEN warns female student on Indecent dressing**uSerz?!

The management of Nigeria’s University of Benin (UNIBEN), Edo state has warned all female students of the institution against any form of indecent dressing in the name of fashion.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Osayuki Osodin, gave this warning on Friday during the 2012/2013 Matriculation ceremony of the institution.

Prof. Oshodin said the disgusting trend has become worrisome, noting that it has been identified to be one of the major factors responsible for cases of sexual harassments suffered by some female students.

The VC advised
all female students to always appear responsible by dressing modestly and appropriately to every gathering. He also warned that the University would not tolerate any form of examination malpractice and other misconduct, adding that the institution was ready to apply appropriate sanctions against offenders.

Worried about activities of members of cult groups within and outside the University’s campuses, Prof. Oshodin warned that the institution’s security network was ready for them.

“The burning issue of cultism is of great concern to the University. I know some of you may have been initiated into one cult group or the other before you

gained admission into this institution, let it be know to you that the our security network will fish you out,” he warned.

On Friday, a total of 5,915 students took the matriculation oath for the 2012/2013 academic session.

They were charged to be loyal and true to the matriculation oath of obedience and respect to the authority of the University, and thus protect and guard their new status jealously, and avoid any unwholesome behavior that may pose threat to the peace and progress of the University.
