The Top 20 Richest Nigerian Billiionaires in 2013 olready

What is the secret to the success of the top 20 richest people in Nigeria? Who are the Nigerian billionaires and how did they amass their wealth? What are the business success secrets of the successful entrepreneurs in Nigeria? What does it Today, I will be compiling a list of Nigerian billionaires and top richest people in Nigeria but please this list will be restricted to entrepreneurs only. Politicians and individuals whose source of wealth cannot be traced are excluded from this list. Most people have asked why so few Nigerians made the Forbes list of richest people in the world. So far, only Aliko Dangote, Mike Adenuga and Femi Otedola Well the answer to that question is this: Forbes estimates the wealth of individuals and rank them based on the value of shares they have in quoted companies (companies listed on the stock exchange) and most of the richest people in Nigeria prefer to run their businesses privately. That’s why they don’t make the Forbes list of richest people in the world. The criteria for coming up with this list Most of you may be wondering the criteria or benchmark on which I compiled this list of richest people in Nigeria. Well, I compiled this list based on the following criteria: *By the value of their shares held in quoted companies. *The size and market share of their companies *The number of companies they own and its assumed value *The market value of their company’s brand *The impact of their companies

List of the Highest paid Nigerian Footballers*wellyh

*The fortunes of Nigeria’s footballers in various football leagues across the world may be dwindling as very few are able to land lucrative deals at prestigious clubs unlike their counterparts from South America and some African countries like Ghana, Ivory Coast (where Yaya Toure and Didier Drogba pull in enviable amounts as wages).

However there are still many of Nigeria’s exports who earn big in their own right and below after extensive research I present to you the most definitive list of Nigeria’s highest earning footballers in 2012.

LASU to Graduate 21 First Class Students*whoop!

AS Lagos State University (LASU) concludes arrangement for its 18th convocation ceremony, the Vice Chancellor, Professor John Oladapo Obafunwa, has assured that “never again in the history of LASU will unsigned certificates be an issue.” Speaking at a briefing in Lagos on Tuesday, Obafunwa pledged that graduating students would henceforth collect their certificates on the convocation ground, once they had been cleared by their faculties. According to him, collection of certificates on convocation day is a global benchmark which his administration “is working assiduously to uphold.” He said: “With the concerted effort of the university management, the issue of backlog of certificates is gradually becoming a thing of the past, never again in the history of LASU will unsigned certificates be an issue. At the last convocation, over 27,000 certificates was signed and released, this year 11362 has been signed. With consistent effort, in two or three years’ time backlog of certificates would have been reduced to barest minimum if not entirely cleared”. Obafunwa announced that the award of first degrees, diplomas and certificates would take place on February 20, while February 21 has been slated for the award of higher degrees. Of the 11,362 graduating students 3,695 are full-time; 4465- external system; 287 –Diploma and 2915-higher degrees. Twenty one will be graduating with the First Class grade; 1106 had Second Class upper division; 5,341 made Second Class lower division; 1592 made the third class, while 88 had ordinary pass. The convocation lecture, titled: “Quality Assurance and the Challenges of Mandate Delivery in Nigerian University,” will be delivered by the Executive Secretary of National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Julius Okojie, on February 19, he revealed. Obafunwa commended Senators Remi Tinubu and Ganiyu Solomon for presenting a Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) grant of 108 million naira to the university, pledging that it would be judiciously expended.

Sir Elton John and Husband,David show-off new baby

Tenderly cradling his new baby in his arms, Sir Elton John proudly shows off his family of four. Beside him sits husband David Furnish, and their two-year-old toddler Zachary. The couple’s second son Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John (to give him his full title) was born on Friday 11 January weighing 8lb 4oz Happy family: Sir Elton John and David Furnish proudly show off their second baby son, Elijah Joseph, who was welcomed into the world on January 11 Like his elder brother, little Elijah was born to the same California-based surrogate mother – whom the couple said they love ‘like a sister’. They revealed that the boys are at least half-brothers as they share the same egg donor. But it is not clear if that is the same woman who carried them for nine months, or someone else. Another unknown is which man is the baby’s biological father – if, indeed, either of them. Neither Sir Elton, 65, or his civil partner Mr Furnish, 50, have revealed whether Zachary or Elijah carry their genes. However on Zachary’s official birth certificate, Sir Elton is named as ‘father’ and Mr Furnish as ‘mother’ leading to speculation that the rock star is his biological father. They have also kept the identity of the boys’ surrogate mother a closely guarded secret. Speaking to Hello magazine, Sir Elton said: ‘She is a wonderful, kind and loving woman, who we love like a sister. ‘We have a very close bond with her and were in constant touch throughout the pregnancy, getting updates, seeing scans and sharing all the little details that make those nine months so exciting. ‘She has given us two amazing gifts and we in turn have a duty of care to her and are fiercely protective of her anonymity.’ Unlike elsewhere in the world, it is not illegal in California for a multi-millionaire such as Sir Elton to pay a significant sum of money to a surrogate or gestational carrier. If she were paid, a surrogate mother could in theory have become very rich after successfully delivering first Zachary and then Elijah. It is likely she would have signed a strict confidentiality agreement never to speak about the deal. The couple said the arrival of their second son, who was born in Las Vegas, ‘completes our family in a most precious and perfect way’.

hIt’s a normal thing to attend an event in Nigeria that doesn’t start on time and then like the one million shows you’ve attended, it follows the same cycle, artistes come on stage and gesticulate along with their tracks being played behind the screaming sound systems. Maybe you may get a sip or two from drinks being tossed around and then you sit waiting for what’s next. Of course, what preceded this was that the shows must have started later than usual. You know we still have a relapse from the African-time syndrome no matter how hard we try. Anyways the show came and went and i’ll tell you my 10 most memorable moments about the show that ended not-too-long ago.

“I cannot marry Denrele and I was never a stripper” – Karen Igho**OlriiHmm

*“I cannot marry Denrele ad I was never a stripper” – Karen Igh

In an exclusive interview with the NET, winner of Big Brother Africa Amplified, Karen Igho, opened up on a lot of issues, including the reality show, her relationship with Denrele Edun and the infamous squabble at a Smirnoff gig.

Excerpts:

What has changed about you since you won the show in 2011?

I am still Karen Igho, but a mature one. A lot has changed. I am older and wiser now. You will not catch me doing certain things. I have seen life in a different way and I know a lot more now.

How does it feel being the reigning Nigerian with the Big Brother crown?

I feel very honoured and privileged that I still have the position as the last Nigerian winner of the show. However, I must add that to win the BBA is not a joke, whoever will, has to be a lot more entertaining than myself, Uti and Kevin Pam put together. I just think it is not time yet for a Nigerian. It’s just the right person needed.

What do you think was responsible for your victory?

I would say God. While I was preparing for the show, the last thing on my mind was how to win. I just wanted to have fun and learn as much as I could. I was lucky to understand that the best strategy for such games is to have no strategy to avoid unnecessary surprises.

What do you mean by unnecessary surprises?

Unnecessary surprises can be anything. You can wake up one day and realise you have been betrayed by a fellow housemate. We were young individuals locked in a room with cameras and constantly watched by millions of people. It was psychologically draining. We all had to fight for attention, respect and win games too. We needed to shout, be crazy or cause trouble to get all these.

What is your take on Nigeria’s performance at the last edition?

Let me first congratulate all of them for going there. I cannot blame any of them or say exactly what went wrong. Ola and Chris left on health grounds, which is a cogent reason. One’s health is a lot more important than money, but if they both had remained in that house, they would have won. Goldie too did her best. They are all cool people but I guess it was not time for a Nigerian.

 Do you think Goldie was

RCCG COVENANT PARTNERS( FASTING AND PRAYER )
February 2013 Prayer Guide

"But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall." Malachi 4:2

It was few weeks ago that the sun of year 2013 appeared with the Sun of righteousness Himself standing by it. The message of the Sun sent to us through His representative, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, at the very beginning, has given us the assurance that, as we journey towards the Sun of Signs and Wonders, very soon, in His wonderful ways, either as a Nation, family, or an individual, the shadow of our burdens will be cast behind us.

Naturally speaking, it is noted that the same sun from above that solidifies the clay melts the snow! Hence the manifestation of Signs and Wonders could be in favour of a man or otherwise, depending on the spiritual nature of the person before God.
