Blackberry brings in the BBM free voice calls**makeBrains**

...its soo obvious that the RIM company are nt jes ready to give up yet.,here BlackBerry have introduced the ability to make voice calls between BBM contacts. The Service which is called BBM voice lets you make voice calls over wifi to BBM contacts by simply tapping the call button while in a chat and you’ll start a voice call. BBM Voice will add some great depth to BBM, providing you the ability to escalate a chat to a voice call when the situation calls for it. This feature should be huge in emerging markets or for anyone calling long distance as there will be no long-distance charges.

Additionally, in BBM you’ll be able to see each users status as well so you’ll know who is available for a call and who isn’t. When on a call you’ll see a split-screen view and can still use any other apps on your device. So you can still use the chat function as well as send pictures within BBM or even check email or use the browser.

download the new BBM 7 (beta) with BBM voice here: http://www.techsuplex.com/2012/11/14/breaking-rim-introduces-bbm-to-bbm-voice-calls/et

NCC calls all promos and lotteries of Telecoms companies to a halt**noWonder**

...No wonder (I for say)cos iWaited for my daily bonus and didn't get (infact na der i dy sleep well)...As we well see that,The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) yesterday November 12th banned all promotions and lotteries being run by telecoms companies with immediate effect.

Do you support this ban?(Cos d tin bn d help oo) Meanwhile find a statement NCC released after the cut...

Ban of all promotions and lotteries by telecommunications operators
The Commission has, in recent times been inundated with several complaints from consumers, Industry Stakeholders against the various promotions offered by Telecommunications Operators.

Consistent with its processes, the Commission has carefully evaluated the complaints received especially against the backdrop of sustaining the integrity of the networks, the general interest of the consumers, the socio-economic impact of these promotions on Operators and other relevant stakeholders.

The Commission is also mindful of its statutory responsibilities such as; to protect and promote the interest of consumers against unfair practices, promote fair competition in the industry by protecting Operators from misuse of market power and anti-competitive/unfair practices by other Operators.

i. In due regard to the afore-mentioned responsibilities therefore and having observed that these promotions have increased the number of minutes available to subscribers for use within a limited period of time thereby creating congestion in the networks as subscribers try to use up the available minutes within the stipulated time.

ii. That on-net calls were now being offered by Operators at tariffs well below the prevailing inter-connect rates thereby introducing anti-competitive practices and behaviour.

iii. That termination of calls were becoming increasingly difficult from one network to another and overall consumer experience on the networks has become very poor thereby making it extremely difficult for subscribers to make calls successfully.

Consequent upon the above-mentioned, the Commission therefore has banned all promotions by Telecommunications Network Operators as well as lotteries being carried out on such networks. This ban covers all proposed and approved promotions and lotteries on which the Commission has given approval further to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) entered into with the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC).

This ban is with immediate effect and shall continue to remain in force until such a time as may be determined by the Commission. The Telecom Operators affected by this include the following:

• GLOBACOM LTD
• MTN
• INTERCELLULAR NIG PLC
• VISAFONE COMMS LTD
• ETISALAT
• AIRTEL NETWORKS LTD
• MULTILINKS TELECOMS LTD

The Commission wishes to assure all Telecommunications consumers of its resolve to ensure that the Quality of Service offered across all networks is such that delivers value to the consumers.

Do most Nigerian makeup artists have high charges??**jus sayinn**

well...I know quite good that if we are talking about ceremonies hosted by the 'rich n famous'.,then any price will do but talkin on the average consider so also....for instance,a trained  makeup artist. Most in Nigeria aren't well-trained, but pay minimum of N70,000 for bad training. Then buying your products (you have to have foundation to match any complexion, that's a minimum of N12,000 for 8 tubes, and then Mary Kay isn't that good, so to do a good job, you have to buy Black Up which is N10,000 a bottle. There's too much fake Iman on the market sold for N4500 per bottle). Then add in eyeshadows, a palette can be N8500 and that is the crap chinese stuff that irritates. So you spend minimum of N25,000 for more chinese stuff of slightly better quality. False lashes are N800 per packet (the good stuff which isn't heavy on the eye). We won't mention powders, blushes mascara, primers and skincare for all types of skins and complexions. Remember, all these products finish and expire, so they need replacement.
Then transport to the bride's house, first for trial and then for engagement and another day, white wedding, no matter how early or late the time. So that's usually cab fare. Calculate N3000 per trip.
Also, naija brides can waste time, so you can't do 2 weddings in one day. And then you have to wait for their mum, sisters or friends who want free makeup (as if you have products to dash).
You may say "oh well, why should I still pay so much?". Let me ask you this: which do you think you will use to remember your wedding, your menu, your hall venue or your pictures? And if it's pictures, do you wanna look your best in your pictures or do you want to look like your short-sighted sister did your makeup without her glasses? Why pay a photographer N150,000 when you look like a masquerade because you paid your MUA N40,0

30 gurls moved to Mali on a (steady)daily basis**ahn ahnnnn**

**buh wait oo.,Nigerians and the hustle tho'....or is it that Mali makes more sense**rme**.......Now seriously.,An average of 30 Nigerian girls are being trafficked into Mali daily, the Nigerian Ambassador to the West African country, Mr. Iliya Nuhu, said on Sunday. According to him, the girls are between the ages of 10 and 15.

Nuhu, who spoke with  the News Agency of Nigeria  in Bamako,  lamented that the problem had grown in “magnitude and sophistication’’.

The envoy said the practice was a “kind of modern day slavery’’ with Nigerians going to their villages or towns to recruit  young girls.

He said the traffickers were taking advantage of Nigeria’s economic problems to lure their victims with promises of setting them up in “very lucrative businesses abroad’’.

Nuhu said, “These people (traffickers) tell them about businesses which are not there and these girls, with very loose parental upbringing, fall for their tricks.

“They go to Nigeria to source these girls and sell them off to their cronies not only in Mali but in other countries; but we are able to work in cooperation with these countries to map out the routes the traffickers follow.

“Since August, we have assisted not less than 30 of these girls to return to the country and this is a daily routine that the embassy and the staff go through.

“From what I gathered from the Nigerian community in Mali, an average of 20 to 30 girls are being trafficked into this country every day and those we get are those who raise the alarm.’’

He said the embassy was working with the Malian  police to identify the traffickers, adding that he had written a memo to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja, to work out a strategy to solve the problem.

He  said, “We, however, call on the Federal Government to work with NAPTIP or take appraisal of what they are doing and see if there are gaps to be filled so that they can have the capacity to do this job.

“NAPTIP also should be able to have the necessary information through their own network to be able to follow up these routes and study the mode of operation of the traffickers and beat them to it.’’

NAN spoke to two of four girls rescued from the traffickers.

Joy Monday, a hairdresser, said a woman came to her hometown, Auchi, Edo, to lure her to Mali.

She said, “The woman told me that I can make between N5,000 and N7,000 fixing one person’s hair in Mali only to discover on getting  here that I am to be a prostitute and I was rescued by a man who brought me to the embassy.”

Another victim, Chidinma Ubah, said a man called Sunny, brought her to Mali, promising her that he was taking her to Europe.

She said she sought refuge in a police station when she discovered that she was to be a prostitute.

Nuhu said arrangements were being made to return the girls to Nigeria.

Policeman kills Conductor over #50 change **CHOi^_^**

...na so them go wan dy "bobo" us<yimu>... Contrary to earlier report that a policeman shot dead a bus conductor for stepping on him on Wednesday, eyewitnesses said the policeman allegedly killed the conductor over N50.

A SIM registration agent at Tipper Garage Bus Stop, where the incident took place, Segun Lafiaji, said he was standing about 50 metres to where the young man was shot dead.

He said, “I don’t think the boy could be more than 21. After the policeman had alighted from a danfo, he asked the conductor for his balance of N50. But the conductor said he did not owe him.

“I was not really listening to what they were saying but the argument became heated. I think the conductor would have exercised some restraint if he knew the man was a policeman because he was in mufti.

“The bus conductor slapped him because of something he (policeman) said or did and he brought out his gun immediately and shot him in the head.”

Lafiaji explained that the driver of the bus quickly sped away to mobilise his colleagues who laid siege to Ketu and attempted to attack Ketu Police Division.

A commercial bus driver, who corroborated Lafiaji’s account, said the argument was indeed about N50 change.

The driver, who identified himself simply as Dayo, said he did not know the name of the bus conductor and from which park he came from.

He said, “You know most times, bus conductors do not associate with particular motor parks unlike commercial bus drivers. I know him but not his name. He is a young boy.

“I was just getting to Ketu when the incident occurred. Immediately we heard the shot, many people fled, but some who tried to catch the man retreated when he threatened to shoot them. When someone recognised him as a policeman, area boys began to riot.”

He said the rioters and traders at Tipper Garage and Ketu bus stops ran away when a team of policemen arrived the scene, shooting sporadically into the air.

It was learnt that the fleeing policeman was later apprehended by some policemen.

On Thursday, normalcy had returned to Ketu, which was said to have been deserted by motorists, traders and passersby on Wednesday evening.

None of the other commercial bus drivers our correspondent spoke to could provide information about what happened to the conductor’s body as they were afraid the police may come for them.

When our correspondent contacted the Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, she said contrary to a report that the policeman was attached to the Alapere Police Division, he is a riot policeman attached to Mopol 50, Abuja.

“Someone cannot kill another and not be prosecuted. He is in custody at the state Criminal Investigation Department,” Braide said.

Although the PPRO did not disclose the policeman’s name, a police source identified the suspect as Oluwatiyesi Gboyega.

The source, who also confirmed that Gboyega was attached to Mopol 50, Abuja, said he killed the conductor with his service pistol.

JAMB to release results 30minutes after exam**sharpally**

...surprisingly tho...(like say me seff believe  am seff)>>>But then.,as part of its determination to curb examination malpractice and eliminate cases of pending results, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB has concluded arrangement on its new strategy of conducting its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME in amore professional way.
The examination body registrar said the proposed method is for the candidates to write the examination online from 2013 and their results will be released within 30 minutes after the examination.
Professor Dibu Ojerinde disclosed thison Thursday when he led his management team and staff of the board on an advocacy visit over the proposed Computer Based Test (CBT) to Kaduna State.
The Don stressed that the proposed method of conducting the UTME was aimed at checking examination malpractices, eliminating cases of incomplete results, result blackout and above all, releasing result within 30 minutes after the examination.
He noted that UTME candidates for 2013 will have options of Paper Pencil Test, PPT and Dual Based Test, computer and paper, stating that the board will begin full blown ComputerBased Test by 2015.
Prof. Ojerinde, who led the advocacy visit to Kaduna State Ministry of Education, National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Kaduna Polytechnic and National Teachers Institute (NTI), assured of uninterrupted power supply during the examination.
“From now on, with the use of Computer Based Testing, CBT, candidate will get their result within 30 minutes after the examination. It will also address cases of result black out and examination malpractices will be eliminated,” he assured.

“Trybe Records and Eva Alordiah have agreed to terminate her recording contract effective immediately,” the label said in a statement.
“Trybe Records’ vision is to discover and nurture the talents of our artists while operating with purpose, valuing relationships with our partners within the industry, and being persistent in creating and releasing quality music.

10year old ...olready a mother**rme**

A 10-year-old Mexican girl has given birth to a baby boy after a 31-week pregnancy, according to reports.

The premature infant, which weighed 3.3 pounds, was born by Caesarian section at the Women’s Hospital in the city of Puebla and is in the intensive care unit recovering from pneumonia.

The young mother, who is from the nearby San Francisco Totimehuacan community, has returned home after the procedure but visits the baby every day to breastfeed, officials said.

The Puebla state Attorney General's Office is now investigating whether the girl could have been Molested and who the father is, the hospital’s director Rogelio Gonzalez said, according to UpFrontNewswire.
Mexican state laws say young moms are unable to have abortions unless a girl can prove she was the victim of intimate assault.

The state’s minimum age of consent is 12 and women who undergo abortions in Puebla face a fine or prison sentence if they are unable to prove they were sexually abused.

The laws are currently under review.

The girl, who has not been named, arrived at the medical facility on Oct. 22, suffering from life-threatening complications, including seizures.

Hospital officials said the newborn is in a good condition considering his premature birth and the mother is recovering well.

This is not the first case of a shockingly young girl giving birth in Mexico.

In August last year, 11-year-old Amalia had a child two weeks premature after she was denied an abortion by the local Justice Department during the fourth month of pregnancy.

She was Molested repeatedly by her stepfather when she was 10 years old, but local laws do not allow terminations after three months.

Mandela's Notes OUT!!!**makin sense tho'**

...The first banknotes with the honarary face of Nelson Mandela were just in circulation in South Africa.

They are the first South African notes to bear the image of a black person - they replace notes with wild animals and rural and industrial scenes.

President Jacob Zuma says the banknotes were a "humble gesture" to express South Africa's "deep gratitude".

Mr Mandela, 94, is one of the world's best loved figures after spending 27 years in prison for fighting apartheid.

Reserve Bank governor Gill Marcus was the first to use the new banknotes when she spent 160 rand, about $18 (£12) on some nuts, beetroot, a watermelon and a cucumber at her local shop in the capital, Pretoria.

She said that Mr Mandela was delighted with the design.......

CUDDLING- 5 Health reasons to its importance**hmmmmm**

Now seriously.,I r'member when I 1st told one of my 'padis' bou this thing...I cn stil quote hz reply'...ol'boi#yimu dt one na long tin jere'....hmmmm buh then for the ladies...@least jus so U kw(FYI)**smiles**
Next time your guy gets on your case about cuddle time--he says he's too hot, needs his space, doesn't feel like relaxing--present the evidence. Research suggests that there's more to cuddling than meets the eye. Lovey-dovey'ness aside, the health benefits of cuddling will surely convince him to make time for it.

Reason 1: It Feels Good
Cuddling releases oxytocin, which is also known as the feel-good hormone. "It increases overall happiness," says psychologist, physical therapist, and author of bestseller A Happy You: Your Ultimate Prescription for Happiness Elizabeth Lombardo.

"Cuddling, holding, and sexual play releases chemicals, like oxytocin, in the brain that create a sense of well-being and happiness," says Dr. Renee Horowitz, an ob-gyn who recently opened the Center for Sexual Wellness in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Cuddling can also release endorphins, which is the chemical released after a good workout or when you eat chocolate, Horowitz adds, which contributes to that great feeling.

Reason 2: It Makes You Feel Sexy
The most obvious benefit to cuddling is getting close to your partner in the physical sense. Cuddling can lead to fun sexy time or relaxing and loving time post sexual intercourse, but there's also a chemical plus.

"There is also the release of dopamine, which is an excitatory hormone that increases sexual desire," Horowitz says. Plus, studies show that sex is healthy for fitness and mental reasons, too. So it's a win-win.

Reason 3: It Reduces Stress and Blood Pressure
Stress management coach and holistic therapist Catherine A. Connors reminds how physical contact with others can help to reduce stress. "Hugging, kissing, or more physical acts of touch increases oxytocin levels, which is a 'bonding' hormone--this chemical reaction can help to reduce blood pressure, which in turn reduces the risk of heart disease, but it can also help to reduce stress and anxiety," Connors says.

Reason 4: It Bonds Women with Babies and Partners
According to Dr. Fran Walfish, celebrity doctor and author, cuddling is healthy for people because of the obvious factor of emotional attachment. "Oxytocin is a neuropeptide that is closely linked to childbirth and breastfeeding, and a recent study shows that it has a biological role in bonding between mother and baby," she says. "The study, led by Lane Strathearn, an assistant professor of pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine, shows that women raised with insecure attachment themselves are more likely to have difficulty forming secure attachments with their children (and partners)."

It's healthy to want to be close. "Too little or too much is not good. Observe and explore your own personal comfort zone. You will be a better communicator with your partner on how much feels good and when it gets too close for comfort," Walfish says. "Your goal is to find a balance between your comfort zone and needs along with your partner's.

Reason 5: It Helps You Communicate Better
According to David Klow, a marriage and family therapist in Chicago who works with many couples on how to improve intimacy in their lives, reminds us of one great benefit of cuddling and non-erotic physical touch. Most couples in marital therapy complain about communication issues, Klow says. "Most people want to feel understood, and communication is the vehicle by which they transmit understanding and empathy. Non-verbal communication can be a very powerful way to say to your partner, 'I get you,'" he says. "Cuddling is a way of saying, 'I know how you feel.' It allows us to feel known by our partner in ways that words can't convey."

Klow suggests thinking of cuddling as a form of communication that can help couples have a more rich relationship.

RANDOM-8 thangs a chik must'nt really do when flirting wiv her Naija guy**winks**

...Yh yh.,we kw dt u people(almighty nigerian gurls) all have ur different scopes for dt one special person...au bou jus considerin ds a 'side-look'...**hmmm*Cz as we well kw flirting is one of the most interesting weapons of a lady. Females usually use flirting to initiate communication with a guy and show that she is interested in him. However, flirting may go wrong if not done the right way. The following are eight flirting mistakes every lady should avoid;

1. Don’t play hard-to-get:
Playing games or playing hard-to-get don’t work in this part of the world. Our ladies still don’t get it. It may work here and there, but guys with any level of self-
respect will quit chasing a girl who plays games. If you are interested in a guy, show him you are interested or he will move on. Shikena

2. Don’t touch too much:
Touch less. Don’t be too clingy. Guys don’t usually like women who are too clingy. You can hold a guys arm or rub his hair but don’t let it be too often or too
prolonged. It could irritate or annoy him.

3. Don’t talk too much:
Let your mouth do less talking and let your eyes do more of them. This doesn’t mean that your eyes should be gazing or that you look confrontational. You should simply master the art of body language and let your eyes do a bit more communication. This keeps him guessing.

4. Don’t Be Monosyllabic:
Talking less doesn’t mean you should get monosyllabic. Some ladies are bad at communicating either on or off social networks. The conversation style is usually the same. How are you? Fine. How is school? Fine. What are you up to? Nothing. You look beautiful. Thanks. Can we go out on saturday? ok. Come on. This is so boring. Even if you are a natural phlegmatic, you should initiate conversation and try to sustain them.

5. Mind the effing words:
You want to be mindful of what you say and how you say them. Although your intention is to flirt with the guy, coming out with strong words may let him think of you suspiciously. Making a lot of intimate jokes might make him feel that you might be just after sex, except of course the reason you are flirting is to Be Intimate.

6. Don’t dress to kill:
I have seen Nigerian chics who are almost Unclad in their quest to dress to kill. The flipside of this is that while the guy may keep his eyes on you for a while. He probably wouldn’t feel comfortable walking beside you because of what people might think of him (you already look like a LovePeddler). You can adorn yourself with those hot, sexy outfits, however cover up a bit. It keeps them guessing.

7. Don’t be a hermit:
Avoid staying alone with him all the time. While you may want to spend a large portion of your private time with. Suggest public places where you can do naughty things such as whispering in his ears and still feel safe.

8. Mrs. Nice girl:
I am not suggesting that you shouldn’t be nice to a gentleman, however, don’t overdo it. Be yourself even if you like the guy too much. Being too nice may make him feel that you are pretending. Don’t be disrespectful.
